Speech-Language Pathologist Needed Help Students Succeed in Akron City Schools

Akron City Schools is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver therapy and assessment services that empower students to develop strong communication skills for academic and social success. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team.

Position Overview:
As an SLP, you will assess student needs, design individualized treatment plans, and deliver interventions targeting a range of speech and language challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and prepare reports

• Develop and implement therapy plans aligned with IEP goals

• Address articulation, fluency, receptive and expressive language, and social communication

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote progress

• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to planning and documentation

• Maintain compliance records according to state and district requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Active Ohio SLP License

• Ohio Department of Education Certification for School-Based SLPs

• ASHA CCC strongly preferred

• Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
