A healthcare facility in Cypress, TX is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) for a contract position with a nonschool year (NSY) duration. This role offers flexibility with options for full-time or part-time schedules and prefers on-site work. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in pediatric and teletherapy settings and have experience working with both school and healthcare populations.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Texas licensure or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred
- Experience in school settings is a plus
- Proficiency with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Strong knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Familiarity with collaborating alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients needs
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient progress
- Monitor therapy outcomes and maintain detailed, accurate documentation of patient records
- Participate in interdisciplinary communication to ensure comprehensive care
