Physical Therapist - School Setting in Stamford, CT

A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available for the current school year, offering a contract position with a district-wide assignment. This role is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist seeking to make an impact in an educational setting.

Location: Stamford, CT (near Bridgeport, CT)
Duration: Contract through the end of the school year (ASAP to EOSY)
Assignment: District-wide Physical Therapy services

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy evaluation, treatment, and consultation to students across the district
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and support student progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes
• Participate in team meetings to discuss student needs and treatment strategies
• Monitor and recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to enhance student participation

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist with a valid state license
• Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain detailed documentation
• Familiarity with special education regulations and IEP processes
