Responsibilities
The Clinical Manager is a licensed therapist that will manage Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists by providing daily support and serving as a primary contact. They will also complete and monitor performance, reviews, and documentation as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to KidsCare Home Health's growth through the hiring, training, and retention of qualified therapists. Provide ongoing development of clinical staff by associating legislative policies and procedures with the mission and values of the company.
- Manage Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists in designated service area(s).
- Ensure the quality and appropriateness of patient care meets or exceeds company and industry standards and ensures that all Rehab services are in compliance with state and federal legal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement guidelines.
- Aid in maintaining sufficient staffing by responding to changes which impact staffing needs; ensures appropriate levels of professional staff and maintains the clinical skill levels needed for the company in accordance with budgetary and company guidelines.
- Effectively cross-train and maintain proficiency with all clinically related roles in the office to fill in with other departments/roles when needed or directed.
- Review clinicians' documentation practices for clarity, conciseness and consistency with patient outcome goals and payer expectations.
- Serve as a functional representative of the company to staff, referral sources and the community. Routinely identifies and assists in coordinating marketing and census development.
- Provide education in the area of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology to KidsCare Home Health employees, partners, colleagues, families, and members of the community. Continuously promoting clinical reasoning skills and best practices within rehabilitation.
- Maintain an open line of communication with various departments regarding the daily operations of KidsCare Home Health.
- Oversee specialty-specific programs (i.e., VitalStim, TRC) and creation of new materials and protocols.
- Provide clinical supervision to therapists. Also, maintain a clinical caseload; under a physician's order, provides direct treatment in accordance with an established treatment plan; treatment venue includes individual and supervisory.
- Routinely monitor expenses; Initiates appropriate actions in order to ensure that budget goals are met or exceeded. Generates and analyzes operational and productivity reports as required; contributes to the development of clinical operating budget. Recommends the purchase of therapy equipment and supplies.
- Attend and direct clinical meeting.
- Exhibit follow through with communicating new policies, programs, procedures, etc. to clinical staff.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Medicaid and other reimbursement regulators/payer sources.
- Participate in quality improvement activities which reduce cost and increase efficiency through improved systems and processes
- Ensure compliance with the State Practice Acts and Rules.
- Ability to generate new ideas for change, take risks and positively lead a team.
- Travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.
- Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.

Education and Work Experience Requirements
- Master's Degree as required for initial professional preparation in Physical, Occupational or Speech Language Pathology (Occupational Therapist Preferred)
- Current professional licensure.
- Two (2) - Four (4) years of clinical experience required.
- One (1) - Two (2) years of supervisory experience with multiple disciplines preferred.
- Pediatric home health experience preferred.
