The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician’s orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
SKPS is in need of IN-PERSON SLPs!
- Late August / Early September 2025 start – June 2026
10 openings – majority at the elementary level.
District has several perks that are unique as SLP roles go across OR, please be sure to mention the below to any interested candidates!
- Clericals, someone who mails and files paperwork for them
- High percentage of SLPs that only stay in 1 building
- Admin level support system SLPs have a go to team for any questions they have or for when the need support
- PD days provided by the district, PD is during the work day so they are paid to do it
- District is actively increasing FTE to help reduce caseload sizes
- Caseloads are relatively lower, caseload vs workload
- For example – someone to do all the photocopying and call parents
