Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator in Edison, New Jersey! This role is onsite / in person. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration.
**Type:** One-month contract, opportunity for extension or fulltime offer
**Schedule:** Monday through Friday, 11am to 7pm
**Pay:** $15.49 to 15.79 an hour
**Responsibilities of the Patient Care Coordinator:**
Performs insurance verification on the date of service
Performs referral documentation promptly
Collects co-pays or outstanding balances on the date of service
Greets patient when entering the practice
Obtains accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance information
Files and maintains medical records
Confirms and schedules appointments
Answers telephone calls promptly and courteously,
Performs certain follow-up services for patients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as scheduling specialist appointments, scheduling follow-up appointments and obtaining copies lab results or specialist reports.
**Qualifications for the Patient Care Coordinator:**
High School Diploma or GED required.
One year of medical office experience required.
Must have superior organizational skills and accuracy.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
