This position offers a rewarding opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinician to support students in a dynamic elementary school setting in Elgin, IL. The contract runs from August 6, 2025, through May 21, 2026, with a 2-day paid orientation on August 4 and 5. This full-time role involves working 37.5 hours per week across two schools serving middle and high school students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting students participation in classroom activities by addressing skills such as fine motor coordination, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care
- Modifying tasks or environments to accommodate individual student needs
- Conducting diagnostic and evaluation assessments as appropriate
- Writing clear, detailed reports following student evaluations and observations
- Developing and maintaining Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations
- Collaborating effectively with parents and educational staff to communicate student progress and areas needing support
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois state license to practice as an SLP or eligibility to obtain one
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a collaborative team environment
