This role provides speech language therapy services for preschool-aged children (3 to 5 years old) at an early childhood school in Valparaiso, IN. The position is a contracted opportunity spanning the 2025-2026 school year, requiring 35 hours per week from August 11, 2025, through June 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver speech language therapy targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language, articulation, voice, oral-motor skills, feeding, and language development delays.
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as needed.
- Prepare clear and detailed reports based on student assessments and observations.
- Work effectively with students with moderate to severe disabilities, aged 2 to 22.
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives.
- Collaborate closely with parents and colleagues to monitor student progress and identify support needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and a Department of Education (IDOE) teaching license required or eligibility to obtain both.
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience as a speech language pathologist.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Flexibility and problem-solving abilities when working with diverse student needs.
