Position Overview:
We're looking for a committed and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join a student-focused team in the Port St. Lucie, FL metropolitan area. In this role, you'll support students in overcoming communication challenges that impact learning, social engagement, and daily functioning. You'll work closely with educators, families, and other professionals to create and implement effective treatment plans that help students succeed in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
Develop individualized therapy plans based on student assessments and educational goals
Provide direct therapy services, both one-on-one and in small groups
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student communication needs
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and services
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports
Stay up to date with best practices, tools, and approaches in speech-language therapy
Provide guidance and resources to school staff to help support students' communication development
Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Current Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
Experience working in school settings is a plus
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Comfortable working with diverse student populations and age groups
