Position Overview: As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will work with students to help them develop or improve the skills needed for daily school activities. Youll assess students with physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges and design interventions that promote success in the classroom. Youll collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to support IEP goals and help every student reach their fullest potential through tailored therapeutic strategies.
Required Qualifications in Maryland: Masters Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, current and active Maryland Occupational Therapist License through the Maryland Board of OT Practice, certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), eligibility for school-based credentialing through the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), and completion of all federal and state-mandated background checks and fingerprinting.
