Join to apply for the Speech Pathologist II role at UCSF Health 1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Summary The Staff Speech Language Pathologist, Speech Pathologist 2, reports to the Rehab Service Manager and provides both direct and indirect patient care services. This role primarily works with adult and geriatric patients from diverse backgrounds, with potential to treat pediatric and adolescent patients. Under general direction and upon receipt of written referrals, the incumbent plans and administers a full range of speech therapy services addressing voice, swallowing, and upper airway impairments. Responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, setting therapeutic goals, developing and implementing intervention plans, and maintaining all relevant patient records. The role may also involve supervising support staff, interns, and clinical fellows, and participating in departmental activities such as performance improvement and staff development. Qualifications Required: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. At least 12 months of licensed therapy experience. CPR certification or eligibility. Effective communication skills in English. Ability to recognize signs of distress. Basic computer skills. Interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills. Preferred: Experience in an academic medical center. Interdisciplinary team experience. Experience with professional voice, singing, gender-affirming voice care, or head and neck cancer patients. Licensure: Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist by the California Board; CPR from AHA.
