CFY - Speech Language Pathologist (Paid Internship)

Pay Rate: $55/hr Complete Evaluations Promptly: Perform patient evaluations within 24 hours of physician referral under supervision; document delays appropriately. Develop & Implement Treatment Plans: Assist in creating and carrying out treatment plans aligned with supervising SLP and referring physician guidelines. Direct Patient Care: Provide therapy to patients according to established plans, under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Documentation: Accurately record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and updates as required by facility and supervising SLP. Family & Caregiver Training: Support instructing patient families and nursing staff on home programs and care techniques as directed. Team Communication: Maintain clear communication with supervising SLP, facility staff, and interdisciplinary team members about patient progress and needs. Meetings Participation: Attend patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and in-service trainings to support learning and patient care. Supervision Compliance: Adhere strictly to supervision requirements set by ASHA, the state board, and facility policies throughout the CFY period. Technical Skills: Develop proficiency in electronic documentation systems (Point Click Care) to record patient care activities. Professional Conduct: Exhibit effective interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to positively relate to patients, families, staff, and other professionals.
