Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in Van Nuys, CA

A full-time Contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-6 students in a school setting located in Santa Clarita, CA. This role offers an engaging environment working with children across TK through 6th grade, maintaining a caseload of approximately 55 to 60 students. The position involves a standard 37.5-hour workweek and is aligned with the school year calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to students with special needs within the K-6 age range.
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct evaluations and use therapeutic techniques to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies and regulations.
• Attend relevant meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions supporting student success.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of California.
• Experience working in pediatric or school settings strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 55-60 students effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with students, families, and educational staff.
