We are excited to offer a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) opportunity for a motivated and compassionate bilingual English-Spanish Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our diverse and supportive school-based team in the Northwest Chicago Metro area . This full-time position is ideal for a recent graduate looking to build a strong foundation in school-based speech-language services while making a meaningful impact in a multilingual community. Key Responsibilities: Conduct bilingual (English-Spanish) speech and language assessments and re-evaluations under the supervision of an ASHA-certified SLP.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plans tailored to the needs of multilingual learners.
Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
Collaborate with special education teams, general education teachers, ELL staff, and families to support student communication and academic success.
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary evaluations, and staff professional development.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
Engage in ongoing learning and professional development during the CFY process.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university (completed or to be completed by Summer 2025).
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Eligible for Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology endorsement.
Eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with supervision by an ASHA-certified SLP.
Passion for working with culturally and linguistically diverse students and families.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills: Prior practicum or internship experience in school or pediatric settings.
Familiarity with culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment tools.
Understanding of language difference vs. disorder in dual-language learners.
