The role!

Position: Occupational Therapist (Consultant)

Location: Wakefield, MA and Beverly, MA

Pay rate: $70 per hour

Hours: 16 hours per week (8 Wakefield / 8 Beverly)

Summary & Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist Consultant will provide direct and consultive services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities; you will play a key role in promoting functional independence, enhancing life skills, and supporting the Individuals we support to reach their highest potential in our Wakefield and Beverly Day Program.

+ Develop individualized recommendations, therapeutic strategies, and environmental modifications to support participation in daily living

+ Consult with program staff, families, and other clinical professionals to implement strategies that enhance independence, mobility, sensory regulations, and communication

+ Provide staff training and coaching on positioning, sensory support, and techniques for promoting skills acquisition and behavioral regulation

+ Collaborate on development and review of Individual Service Plans (ISPs), ensuring OT-related goals and supports are integrated appropriately

+ Monitor progress, update recommendations, and adjust strategies as needed based on follow-up assessments and program input

+ Document evaluations, consult notes, and training summaries in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards

+ Maintain knowledge of current OT best practices, assistive technology, and evidence-based approaches for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

+ Must be Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in MA

+ At least 2-3 years of experience working with individuals with an Intellectual Disability, Developmental Disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder

+ Must have Liability Insurance

+ A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must

+ Valid Drivers license and acceptable driving record

+ Must pass company background and reference checks
