Occupational Therapist Help Students Succeed in Ann Arbor Public Schools

Ann Arbor Public Schools is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in building the fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills they need for academic success and independence. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, student-focused team.

Position Overview:
As an OT, you will assess student abilities, design individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy that empowers students to participate confidently in the classroom and daily life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and prepare thorough reports

• Develop and implement therapy plans aligned with IEP goals

• Address fine motor coordination, sensory processing, and self-care skills

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student progress

• Attend IEP meetings and provide recommendations and updates

• Maintain accurate documentation to comply with district and state regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active Michigan Occupational Therapy License

• Michigan Department of Education Certification for School-Based OT

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
