- Provide direct, individual/small group/ within inclusion class occupational therapy services to identified students on a regularly scheduled basis as required by each IEP
- Administers diagnostic screenings, observations, and assessments and interpret data to determine qualification for services
- Participate in developing and implementing IEPs through effective collaboration with the student, family, and staff
- Routinely monitor student progress, revise supports, and assist in the implementation of accommodations
- Make clinical decisions for goal developing, frequency and duration of services, and recommend dismissal from services as appropriate
- Provide recommendations and resources for other staff on topics related to occupational therapy
- Must be able to provide own transportation between sites as needed for caseload
Position Goal: To actively participate in the development and implementation of an effective occupational therapy service program that provides for collaboration with staff and families to address disorders that interfere with ability to access the educational program.
Licensure: Master's Degree including completed clinical practicum from an accredited college or university in Occupational Therapy, All New Mexico and New Mexico Public Education Department licenses applicable to assignment, ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements noted on job description.
