Occupational Therapist Role Available Support Student Success in Toms River

Toms River Regional Schools is looking for a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to help students develop the motor, sensory, and daily living skills they need to succeed academically and independently. Join a committed team that prioritizes student growth and collaboration.

Role Overview:
As an OT, youll evaluate student strengths and needs, design treatment plans, and deliver interventions that help learners thrive in and out of the classroom.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations and complete detailed reports

• Create and implement therapy plans that align with each students IEP

• Address fine motor coordination, sensory processing, and self-help skills

• Work closely with teachers, families, and administrators to support progress

• Attend IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations

• Keep accurate records consistent with district and state requirements

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active New Jersey Occupational Therapy License

• New Jersey Department of Education Certification for school-based OT

• School or pediatric experience preferred

• Excellent collaboration, communication, and time management skills

Position Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments vary based on district needs)
