Certified Hand Therapist (FT, 100%)-M-F Days-Adena Rehab

Staff Certified Hand Therapists (OT/PT) will be responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with upper extremity conditions, including injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic disorders. There may be times where the individual could be asked to practice in other clinical settings & patient populations as needed. The successful candidate will exhibit strong: customer service skills, clinical skills, and patient outcomes. The candidate will demonstrate competence in complex upper extremity care through current credentialing with the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC). They will be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of hand & upper extremity anatomy, splint fabrication, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, time management, teamwork, and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential for success in this position and operations of the health system. They must practice with high moral and professional standards and be driven toward continued professional development. The candidate will be responsible for supervision and the professional development of those assistants who are involved in the care of their patients.

Required Educational Degree: Graduate of an Accredited Program in
Major/Area of Concentration: Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy

Preferred Education: Master's or Greater

Required Certifications,
Credentials and Licenses:
Must have passed the National Board for Certification in Occupational
Therapy (NBCOT) Certification Exam or National Physical Therapy
Examination (NPTE) and obtained Certification; Possess or be eligible for
Ohio License as an Occupational or Physical Therapist; Must have passed the
Hand Therapy Certification Examination (HTCE) and obtained Commission
(HTCC) Credentialing; BLS (Basic Life Support).

Required Experience: Outpatient Rehabilitation Setting

Preferred Experience: Current Credentialing through the Hand Therapy Certification Commission
(HTCC).
