Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Supervisory:
- Delegates authority to Technicians
Clinical:
- Maintains productivity level at department target
- Evaluates and establishes treatment plan for any patient referred to Occupational Therapy
- Remains competent in the following areas: Standardized testing, Therapeutic exercise, ADL training, Cognitive skills, Wheelchair transfers
- Attends and provides continuing education in-servicing
- Serves as mentor for new employee(s) or volunteers
- Serves as clinical instructor for OTA students after one year of experience as a clinician
- Completes documentation according to all regulations and in a timely manner
Budget:
- Remains within monthly budget when ordering equipment and supplies
- Charges patients appropriately and in a timely manner for treatment and equipment
Other:
- Must be competent in use of computer for documentation and charging purposes
Requirements:
- Must have an Associates Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Must hold a current stateLicense based on facility location
- Must be certified in CPR
- Must demonstrate competency in assessment and treatment of the following areas where applicable: Neonates/Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
