A contract position is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services at an early childhood school serving preschool-aged children (ages 3 to 5) in La Porte, IN. This role involves working 35 hours per week for the 2025-2026 school year, from August 11, 2025, through June 1, 2026.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering speech-language therapy targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive and expressive language delays
- Conducting diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate for students ages 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities
- Preparing detailed, clear reports based on student assessments and observations
- Developing and maintaining individualized education program (IEP) objectives in collaboration with educators and families
- Communicating effectively with parents and team members regarding student progress and support needs
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be eligible for an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and a teachers license from the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE)
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience as an SLP, ideally with school-aged children and individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and problem-solving capabilities to address diverse student needs
