A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within an elementary school setting located south of Dallas, TX. This contract position, lasting the full school year, offers the chance to support approximately 48 students, serving elementary-aged groups with a variety of speech and language needs.
Key qualifications include:
- Texas Speech Therapy License is mandatory
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required, although candidates currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) will also be considered
- Experience in conducting speech and language evaluations, participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, and delivering individualized therapy services tailored to elementary learners
Primary responsibilities involve administering assessments to identify speech and language disorders, developing and implementing effective therapy plans, collaborating with educators and families through ARD meetings, and tracking student progress throughout the academic year.
