Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based Profession: Therapy / Rehabilitation Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist - K-12 Location: Durango, CO 81301 Duration: 42 Weeks (Full School Year) Shift Options: Day - 5x7.5-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Day - 4x7.5-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed Position Overview: A school district is seeking an in-person Speech Language Pathologist (SLP or SLPA) to join their therapy team for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Colorado and certified by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students' individual needs Provide direct and consultative therapy services Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state standards Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and educational planning Qualifications: Active Colorado SLP or SLPA license Valid or in-process Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred Must be available for in-person services (no remote options) Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Caseload Details: Estimated caseload: 40-50 students Grades: K-12 (specific assignment to be determined by district) Full support from school and district staff
