Physical Therapist - Casual

Seeking an on-call physical therapist to work at our Burnsville Clinic 305 East Nicollet Boulevard Burnsville, MN 55337 location to provide physical therapy care to a pediatric outpatient population. The position is onsite with shifts primarily on Tuesdays, with opportunity to pick up extra days, in a pediatric outpatient setting working with other rehab professionals. Seeking a candidate available to provide coverage for ~10 hours per week on an ongoing basis. Join an energetic collaborative team of professionals at our Burnsville location! Provides direct and indirect family centered therapy services for patients to increase functional abilities, independence and community integration. Contributes to department, program and service teams to assure achievement of desired outcomes. Compensation and Benefits Information The hourly wage for this opportunity is $36.45 to $54.64, with a median wage of $45.54/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay just one part of the compensation package for employees. Core Responsibilities and Duties Completes an evaluation utilizing principles of family-centered care. Implements a therapy care plan utilizing principles of family-centered care. Completes necessary administrative and procedural tasks in a timely manner. Completes training in essential job competencies. Qualifications Required PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE/REGISTRATION Physical Therapy State License Physical Therapy State License Current certification in CPR (BLS for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association) or must obtain certification within 90-days of hire. Preferred Knowledge: transition from pediatric to adult health and rehabilitation care and of rehabilitation practice for adults with Childhood onset disabilities. Pediatric experience strongly preferred in Burnsville, Minnetonka, Maple Grove and St. Paul; desirable at Phalen Adult Clinic. Experience working with adults with childhood onset disabilities strongly preferred at Phalen Adult; desirable in Burnsville, Minnetonka, Maple Grove and St. Paul. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent customer service skills Knowledge of child growth and development, rehabilitation theory and practice with a wide variety of childhood onset diagnoses and related considerations including anatomy and neurology, emotional behavior factors, family needs and issues, community transition and equipment. Effective verbal and written communication Ability to function as an effective team member Competency in (occupational therapy, physical therapy or speech language pathology) evaluation, treatment and related family/community education and planning for transition to community services.
