Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP CCC or CFY)
Location: Puyallup, WA

Phaxis is working with a school district located near Puyallup, WA. The district is looking for a full-time candidate with a passion for working in schools.

Speech Language Pathologist Job Description:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings of students' speech, language, voice, and fluency abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans (IEPs) based on student needs, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement strategies and accommodations in the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, services, progress notes, and other required records.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences.
  • Provide professional recommendations for speech and language support services.
  • Stay informed about best practices and current research in speech-language pathology and educational service delivery.
  • Comply with district policies, state laws, and IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) requirements
Speech Language Pathologist Caseload and Job Details:
  • Hours: Full-time preferred, part-time candidates will also be considered
  • Caseload: Based on candidate experience, need is currently for K-8th grade
  • Onsite preferred, Hybrid candidates (3 days onsite 2 days virtual for report writing) can be considered.
  • Commutable to the Puyallup, WA area daily
Speech Language Pathologist Job Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD)
  • An active Washington State Licensure, or the ability to obtain
  • ASHA CCC (preferred) Note: Clinical Fellow (CF) graduates are welcome to apply
  • An active or in-process ESA Certificate (Educational Staff Associate)
  • The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
