Overview
** Performance Physical Therapy is a privately owned and operated outpatient physical therapy clinic. Its purpose has been to provide quality therapy services and high standards of care to its clients and community for more than 30 years. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. We strive to provide our patients with a personalized treatment plan to achieve their goals, restore their function and stay active. We achieve these goals through one-on-one 45 minute treatment sessions with the same physical therapist.
The ideal candidate will; bring fresh perspectives and creative solutions to improve existing therapy practices and enhance patient care, have the ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism at all times, and have excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
**Responsibilities:**
- Execute personalized treatment plans under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Implement therapeutic interventions including exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, modalities and other therapeutic techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, home care techniques, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatment visits in accordance with medical standards.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients leaving therapy services.
**Qualifications**
- Physical Therapy Assistant certificate/degree from an accredited program
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in musculoskeletal, neurological, or pediatric conditions (depending on the specialty)
- Also must have a current CPR card or be in the process of obtaining training and keep current throughout employment.
- Experience in outpatient settings is preferred.
