Back In Action Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated, adaptable, and outgoing Physical Therapist to oversee and guide our Physical Therapy department. This leadership role is ideal for someone passionate about patient centered care, professional growth, and working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Back In Action Physical Therapy is a second generation, family owned clinic located in the beautiful and growing community of Wasilla, Alaska. Our integrated clinic provides Physical Therapy, Chiropractic care, Family Health, and Massage Therapy, and has faithfully served the Mat-Su Valley for many years. We specialize in orthopedic and sports medicine and are proud to be one of the few clinics in the area offering an in house rehabilitation pool.

Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess physical therapy needs
Create and implement individualized treatment plans using a variety of techniques
Provide high quality therapeutic exercises and manual therapy.
Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, home exercises, and injury prevention
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead initiatives to continuously improve patient care, clinical outcomes, and departmental processes.
Provide guidance and mentorship to PTs, PTAs, and support staff
Participate in development and implementation of new treatment protocols and service offerings.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare detailed evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations
Stay current on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and actively engage in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Alaska (or eligibility to obtain).
Strong background in anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques
Proven ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Excellent communication, organizational, and mentoring skills
Proven leadership experience in a clinical setting, preferably in orthopedic or sports medicine, including team management, task delegation, and mentoring.
Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation
Eligible for enrollment in federal payer programs (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid)
