Speech Therapist

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and formal assessments tailored to early childhood development and school-age needs.
Develop and implement developmentally appropriate therapy goals as part of each child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to preschoolers and occasional school-age students in classroom and therapy settings.
Address communication challenges including expressive/receptive language delays, articulation disorders, social communication difficulties, and AAC needs.
Collaborate closely with preschool teachers, aides, therapists, and families to support language development in natural, play-based environments.
Offer training and guidance to classroom staff on strategies to support speech and language throughout the day.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP/IFSP meetings, and family conferences.
Maintain detailed and confidential records of student progress and services.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal special education regulations
Qualifications
Education Requirement
Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
New York State Speech Language Pathology License
NYS Teacher of Speech Hearing Certification
National Provider Identifier (NPI) Number - Required
Experience
Minimum of 1-year pediatric SLP experience
Salary:
$60.00/Hr.
