Speech and Language Therapist

Part-time Speech Language Pathologist for the 2025-2026 School Year:

The Parkside School welcomes candidates for a part time (3 days a week) Speech Language Pathologist position for the 2025-2026 school year. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide services to students with language-based learning difficulties through pullout and push-in models. They will be responsible for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support the students speech and language needs in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have expertise in working with students with language-based learning difficulties in school and/or clinical settings.

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with language-based learning difficulties by providing comprehensive speech and language services. This is a part-time position starting in September, 2025.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with a dynamic team of 5 therapists, 2 consultants, and one department head to deliver speech and language services.
2. Provide pullout and push-in models of support to 80 students with language-based learning difficulties.
3. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to address students' speech language, communication, and literacy needs.
4. Utilize expertise to create and implement effective strategies for students with language-based learning difficulties.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress reports, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
6. Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices and research in the field.

Qualifications:

1. Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
2. ASHA CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
3. New York State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
4. TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities) certification.
5. At least 3 years of experience working with students with language-based learning difficulties in school and/or clinical settings.
