A healthcare occupational therapy professional is needed to provide services across a K-12 school district located in Jarratt, VA. This contract position runs for the next school year and involves delivering occupational therapy to students district-wide within a caseload model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, treatments, and documentation for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress
- Utilize indirect hours for administrative work and participate in paid team meetings
- Maintain compliance with district policies and VA OT licensure requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Virginia
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy services preferred
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and IEP processes
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively across multiple school locations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
