A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support within a K-12 school setting in Latrobe, PA. This is a leave contract position starting by November 17th, with the possibility of an earlier start to allow for a brief overlap before maternity leave begins. The assignment is anticipated to extend through February 24th, covering the 2025-2026 school year.
The position involves working primarily at an elementary school, with potential duties at the middle school pending confirmation. The typical schedule consists of 7.5-hour days, including a 30-minute duty-free lunch, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The caseload is approximately 55 to 60 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen and assess students for speech and language needs across K-12 grades
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each student
- Deliver direct speech therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
