Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Watsonville, California

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for the 2025-2026 school year to support elementary students with mild to moderate disabilities. This full-time, in-person contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver specialized speech and language services within a collaborative educational setting in Watsonville, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of speech, language, articulation, and auditory development for students referred for special education.
- Provide consultation and advisory services to school personnel and families regarding diagnosis and remediation strategies.
- Collaborate as an active member of the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain ongoing communication with staff, families, and healthcare agencies to monitor student progress.
- Assist in developing language programs tailored to classroom and community needs.
- Deliver direct therapy services aimed at enhancing students communication skills to support academic and personal growth.
Qualifications:
- Active California SLP License.
- Experience and commitment to working with students with special education needs.
- Proficiency in assessment, evaluation, and consultation practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
- Knowledge of special education processes, procedures, and disability categories.
- Ability to incorporate creativity, humor, and a positive attitude within the work environment.
- Previous school-based experience preferred.
Additional Skills Preferred: SLP certifications including CCC, Healthcare, Pediatrics, Teletherapy, CFY. Experience as Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in school or healthcare settings.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, full school year contract
