Job Description
This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide physical therapy services across a diverse K-12 student population in Charleston, MS. Serving elementary, middle, and high school students, you will support children in achieving their best physical function in an educational environment. The role spans the 2025-2026 school year, running from July 28, 2025, to May 21, 2026, with an average of 7 hours per week and a flexible schedule to meet student needs effectively.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Mississippi Physical Therapist License
- Experience working with school-age children across multiple grade levels (elementary, middle, and high school)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans within a school setting
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students in elementary, middle, and high school grades
- Conduct evaluations, write treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into the school environment
- Maintain accurate records and attend necessary meetings to support students' educational and physical development
