Gifford is looking for a Respiratory Supervisor to become part of our skilled Respiratory team!
The Respiratory Supervisor provides advanced technical and operational expertise in all respiratory care modalities, the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, and cardiology testing. This role offers overall supervisory direction to ensure services meet regulatory standards while working independently with strong critical thinking and time management skills. The Supervisor follows all hospital and departmental policies and completes required competencies related to noninvasive and invasive ventilation, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gases, handheld nebulizers, holter and extended monitoring hook-ups, high-flow nasal cannula, home sleep studies, various stress testing methods, EKGs, and MUSE editing. This position ensures compliance with quality standards, serves as a resource to providers and staff for technical issues, and has advanced knowledge of equipment and processes with strong troubleshooting abilities. The Supervisor supports the Director in developing and maintaining procedures, facilitates quality improvement activities, protects patient and organizational confidentiality, and promotes a positive, flexible, team-oriented environment.
Requirements:
- Graduate of AMA Respiratory Therapy Program
- Five years’ experience understanding of disciplines in department to include: technical; modalities’ etc.
- Registered (RRT) by NBRC
- Must hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license by the State of Vermont
