We're hiring a Full-time Orthodontic Treatment Plan Coordinator!
The Orthodontic Treatment Plan Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the patient’s office experience is seamless and be sure the patient leaves well informed and prepared for their next appointment. This includes ensuring the patient understands their treatment plan, the benefits of treatment, insurance benefits, assisting with financial arrangements, and coordination of appointments.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare and present comprehensive treatment plans and financial estimates to patients for all prescribed treatments.
- Schedule patient treatment appointments; reschedule missed appointments and follow up with patients who have not completed treatment.
- Manage doctor schedules to achieve production goals through efficient use of appointment time.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to manage daily patient flow, ensuring clear communication with all relevant team members.
- Assist patients with financial arrangements and payment options.
- Complete insurance pre-authorizations as needed.
- Handle all treatment paperwork, including consent forms, policy forms, and exit documents.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and a strong working relationship with the doctor(s); promote teamwork through professional and cooperative behavior.
- Check patients out after appointments and ensure they have all necessary follow-up information.
- Answer and return incoming patient calls promptly and professionally.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all state, federal, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of dental insurance is required.
- Experience with patient records and orthodontic treatment presentation is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
- Adherence to OSHA guidelines, HIPAA Privacy Policy, and all office operating procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dental practice management software.
- Ability to contribute positively to a respectful and collaborative work environment.
- Commitment to professional growth through continuing education opportunities.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality during scheduled shifts.
Education and Experience
- Dental office experience is required, especially in presenting treatment and financial plans.
- Dentrix Ascend or other PMS experience is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of periods of standing and bending.
- Must be able to lift
