The mission of the Port Gamble SKlallam Tribal Department of Public Safety is to protect life and property, maintain order, investigate crimes, enforce all applicable laws and ordinances, protect natural resources, enforce Port Gamble SKlallam Tribal Fishing, Hunting, and Forest codes, investigate violations, arrest and issue citations on violators within the boundaries of the Port Gamble SKlallam Reservation and within the boundaries of the Point No Point Treaty Area.
The Port Gamble SKlallam Tribe, originally known as the Nux Sklai Yem or The Strong People, are descendants of the Salish peoples with ancestral ties to the Kitsap Peninsula that date back at least 1,000 years. The mission of the Port Gamble SKlallam Tribes Child Support Case Manager is to enhance the quality of life of Tribal children and families through the delivery of excellent case management services. This position focuses on ensuring that parents are financially responsible for their children and that when both parents support their children, the child knows their parents care. This position operates under the direct supervision of the Child Support Program Manager (Program Manager), the guidance of the Lead Child Support Case Manager if applicable, and Children and Families Director Director, and in cooperation with other Tribal staff.
