A speech-language pathologist with CCC certification is needed for a full academic year contract serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role is based in Independence, Missouri, and focused on providing comprehensive speech and language therapy within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals
- Maintain thorough documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in meetings and contribute to educational planning as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with K-12 student populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an educational team
