A specialized Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support students in an elementary school setting located in Naperville, IL, for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract role offers 33.75 hours per week, scheduled from 8:15 AM to 3:00 PM, providing direct, onsite intervention for students in grades K-5. The caseload includes students with diverse disabilities such as autism, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and other health impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services tailored to students' needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective treatment plans
- Monitor and document student progress and maintain compliance with state and school policies
- Adapt therapy techniques to accommodate a variety of disabilities and learning styles
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student educational planning
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement required
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders and evidence-based interventions
- Ability to work onsite with flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
