Rex Inpatient Rehab Services is excited to welcome a dedicated Per Diem Physical Therapist I to our team. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing expert care in a fast-paced acute care and hospital environment. Candidates with at least one year of acute care or hospital-based experience are highly preferred.
As a vital member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for performing thorough evaluations of patient disabilities and developing tailored physical therapy treatment plans designed to promote recovery and improve function. Your clinical expertise will be applied under general supervision, with all treatments prescribed by a physician.
In addition to delivering skilled therapeutic interventions, you will maintain detailed documentation, educate patients and their families, and contribute to the training and mentorship of students. You will also play an active role in supporting clinical program development and management, ensuring the highest standard of care.
This position primarily covers acute care patient volumes, as well as leave and PTO coverage, offering a great opportunity for professionals seeking a flexible and rewarding work schedule.
Responsibilities:
Selects and performs appropriate Physical Therapy (PT) evaluation procedures to identify and assess problems. Sets treatment goals and devises a treatment plan. Re-evaluates and adjusts the PT treatment plan in response to the patient's changing condition and discharge plans.
Manages resources needed to perform PT treatment plan to accomplish goals set for the patient.
Completes PT documentation in the medical record per department guidelines and completes department records for billing and statistics.
Manages PT caseload with efficiency and efficacy.
Provides clinical supervision and teaching for PT students or staff. Plans orientation, caseload, and other learning activities. Provides regular feedback and coaching. Evaluates the learner's performance.
Plans and coordinates clinical programs in response to patient needs, technologies, clinical practices, regulations and reimbursement. Provides regular communication with physicians, supervisor, and others regarding PT programs and patients served.

Education Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS
Professional Experience Requirements:
