Physical Therapist Join the Cotting School Physical Therapy department! Our collaborative team works within the structure of our Special Education-based school program. The PT position offers opportunities to work with other clinicians (OT, SLP, and TVI) and special educators. Our clinical focus is to address the needs of our students and facilitate participation and success within an educational setting. Our team of Physical Therapists is responsible for providing individual and group interventions in settings across school programming. Our therapists have opportunities to work within a variety of modern therapeutic spaces, including a fully accessible gym, fitness center, and a separate therapy space. Responsibilities:Provide physical therapy services to assigned students following the service delivery and goals established by the IEPWork with clinical and education staff to coordinate postural health throughout the school dayMonitor school-based adaptive equipment and bracing for fit and safety Develop and document treatment plans to meet standards of ethical practice and Medicaid in Public Schools standards Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews to educate and problem-solve with all team members Complete daily documentation of sessions to meet standards of ethical practice and Medicaid in Public Schools standardsProvide consultation and work in collaboration with classroom staff Support lunch as a member of the Feeding Team - supporting students in safely navigating the lunchroom and engaging in social interactions during meal time Provide individual and/or group therapy as well as integrated services as clinically indicated Write assigned sections of student IEPs and participate in IEP meetingsPerform 3-year evaluations and testing, and generate reports to send to families and share during IEP meetingsCommunicate and collaborate with families as needed
