This per-diem role offers a flexible schedule, and fulfilling mix of hands-on care and patient education, helping individuals manage their respiratory health while allowing you the flexibility to focus on what matters most to you.
About the Position
+ Set up patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and non-invasive ventilation (NHV) therapy in the home setting.
+ Conduct ventilator checks and perform oxygen titration and evaluations for patients using oxygen-conserving devices and portable oxygen concentrators (POCs).
+ Provide thorough instruction to patients on the proper use of equipment and educate them on their respiratory disease management.
+ Set up ventilators for neonatal to adult patients, perform monthly service checks, and coordinate care with local hospitals and referring providers.
+ Schedule all patient equipment setups, follow-up visits, mask refitting's, and related appointments.
+ Maintain detailed and accurate call logs, documenting all phone communications, attempted contacts, and scheduled appointments.
+ Offer comprehensive education to patients on the use of all respiratory equipment to ensure understanding and proper usage.
+ Accurately enter patient data into compliance tracking systems.
+ Monitor patient progress and proactively support efforts to improve therapy adherence and overall compliance.
What Were Looking For
+ Strong computer skills including Excel.
+ Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Must be detail-oriented and organized.
+ Motivated with a goal of becoming a long-term asset within the organization.
Qualifications for Success
+ Registered Respiratory Therapist license in the corresponding state, required.
+ Experience in Respiratory, desired.
+ One year in DME, preferred.
+ Valid drivers license.
