Responsible for the coordination and planning of therapeutic and recreational activities for program participants. Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Therapy from an accreditied college with a recreation with special populations curriculum. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Good understanding of psychosocial problems of aging. Good communication skills. Demonstrates understanding of age-related characteristics and needs of participants served. Only act within the scope of his or her authority to practice. Meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by StayWell Senior Care and approved by CMS before working independently. Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations ujp-to-date. Minimum 2 years experience in social or recreational program providing and coordinating services for a frail elderly population.
