Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This position offers a full school year contract with a caseload spanning kindergarten through 12th grade. Located in Chowchilla, CA, this role involves working 32.5 hours per week to deliver specialized occupational therapy services aimed at enhancing student participation and success. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans. Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students across the K-12 spectrum. Monitor and document student progress regularly to adjust intervention strategies as needed. Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities. Participate in team meetings, including IEP development and updates, ensuring compliance with educational and therapeutic standards. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid COTA certification and current licensure to practice in the state of California. Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting. Knowledge of school-based occupational therapy practices and federal/state education regulations. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to manage a diverse caseload throughout the academic year.
