REST exists to expand pathways to freedom, safety, and hope in order to end sex trafficking. REST offers programs that are centered on the strengths, needs, and individual choices of each survivor we serve. We offer a continuum of care that includes outreach, a 24/7 hotline, community advocates, enrichment services, an economic empowerment program, an emergency shelter, two residential programs, and housing services. ROLE SUMMARY

RESTisseekingacompassionateandskilledtherapistwithexpertiseincomplextraumatoprovide trauma-informed clinical services to survivors of exploitation and trafficking. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with histories of chronic trauma, dissociation, and PTSD, utilizing evidence-based and survivor-centered approaches.

RESTsMentalHealthTherapistwillworkincollaborationwithRESTsdirectserviceteamstosupport the healing and empowerment of REST clients. The Mental Health Therapist will offer individual and group-based therapy services. The Mental Health Therapist will work out of RESTs Pathways Service Center, located in Rainier Valley, and offer both in-person and over the phone sessions.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $80.000 - $83,000 yearly.

REST has adopted a salary scale as part of its compensation plan. A range indicates the intention to accommodate those with varying years of relevant experience, as determined by the salary scale.

SCHEDULE

40hours/week.ThispositiontypicallyworksMondaythroughFriday9:00a.m.-5:00p.m.Some evening and weekend hours may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with clients to assess their medical histories, mental health strengths, needs, and goals and enroll in services
  • Provideindividualsessions,bothinperson,and overthephone,toRESTclients
  • Provideevidence-basedmodalitiessuchasEMDR,TF-CBT,DBT,orsomatictherapiesto address trauma-related symptoms.
  • Plan,lead,andfacilitateonegroupsessioneach week
  • Providereferralassistancetoassistclientswithaccessingmentalhealthservicesinthe community
  • Utilizeastrengths-based,client-centered,trauma-focused,services-integrated,and culturally competent approach
  • Provideculturallyresponsivecare,withawarenessinregardstopowerdynamics, privilege, and common barriers faces by marginalized communities
  • Identifyandrespondtocrisesthatmaynegativelyimpacttreatmentandcreateplansto prevent future crises
  • Workcloselywithsupervisors,advocatesandmultidisciplinaryteamstoensureholistic care
  • Provideconsultationandtrainingtostaffontrauma-informedpracticesandcomplex trauma responses
  • Overseementalhealthinternswithclinicalsupervisionandschedulecoordination
  • Modelandfacilitatehealthyandconstructive conflictresolutionforteamand clients
  • Self-regulatewhenexperiencingtriggers,trauma-responses,orstressorsinordertostay engaged, productive and meet the needs of the team and clients
  • Fulfill reporting requirements, including, but not limited to: maintaining current and accuratecasenotesandtreatmentplansforeachclientinRESTsclientmanagement software
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

ThesuccessfulcandidatemustbelieveinthecorevaluesofRESTandbedrivenbythemission. Beyond that, we are seeking applicants with knowledge of mental health services.

  • LMHC, LICSW, LMHC, LSWIC is REQUIRED
  • Musthavemalpracticeinsurance
  • At least 2 years working with clients with complex trauma, PTSD, or survivors of trafficking/ interpersonal violence
  • Strong understanding of neurobiology of trauma, dissociation, and trauma-specific modalities
  • Exhibitsawarmandwelcomingdemeanor,withconfidenceincommunication
  • Strongcommunication,interpersonalandprofessionalskills

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and move up and down stairs

BENEFITS

This position is eligible for all benefits offered to full-time non-exempt employees. This currently starts at 15 days' vacation, 10 days sick, 12 holidays, 100% employer-paid medical/dental/vision premiums for employees, one paid mental health hour each week, and a 403b retirement plan. Exempt employees also earn comp time after 40 hours/week.

JOB CONDITIONS

This position encounters a variety of daily work situations, including complex situations that require immediate attention and decision-making. There may be both routine and complex interpersonal interactions to navigate with care and thoughtfulness. Processes may change based on the changing needs of the organization, new technology, or new ideas for efficiency. Position operates as part of a team and engages in on-site work that may require time spent sitting, standing, walking up and down stairs, driving, and transporting items. Position works under occasional time constraints to meet objectives, and performs computer work, including using a keyboard, looking at a screen, using the internet, email, phone, and video conferencing.
