A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to support student development in a middle school setting serving K-12 students. This contract position offers 35-40 hours per week throughout the school year, providing an excellent opportunity to work closely with two onsite occupational therapists in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students with mild to moderate disabilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to support student progress
  • Document and track student progress and maintain compliance with school and state regulations
  • Adapt therapeutic techniques to meet diverse student needs within the classroom setting

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active COTA certification and licensure in the state
  • Experience working in school-based occupational therapy, preferably with K-12 populations
  • Ability to manage caseloads involving mild and moderate students effectively
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with onsite occupational therapists and school staff
  • Flexibility and commitment to work a standard school-year contract
