Occupational Therapist Opportunity 2025/2026 School Year
Location: Bolingbrook, IL | Setting: K-12 School
Duration: August 2025 to May 2026 | Contract | Full-Time (32.5 hours/week) | Daily Schedule: 8 AM 3 PM CST
This position involves supporting occupational therapy services across multiple grade levels, including Early Childhood, K-8, and K-12 programs within the school system. The role requires providing therapeutic interventions to students with diverse needs, focusing on fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, and visual-motor integration. Some assignments will include travel between buildings for caseloads serving K-12 students, while the Early Childhood program services are located in a single building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to evaluate students occupational therapy needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Develop and implement individualized OT goals in collaboration with teachers, parents, and the IEP team
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Adapt therapy strategies to meet the unique needs of students across different grade levels
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license
- Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
- Skills in delivering therapeutic interventions targeting fine and gross motor development
- Familiarity with managing caseloads in Early Childhood through K-12 settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams
