Employees in this job, under the direction of a registered Physical or Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, or licensed Physician, participate in and oversee the performance of a variety of non-clinical supportive activities involving the administration of routine therapeutic treatments by physical or mechanical methods. The employee uses various equipment and techniques to perform physical therapeutic methods, practices and procedures.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of office procedures in a healthcare environment, with formal typing/computer courses and acute care environment experience. Courses in medical terminology and anatomy beneficial.
• Possess excellent customer service skills and verbal/non-verbal communication skills.
• Has the ability to function well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification
• Outpatient therapy experience highly recommended.
• High degree of competence with scheduling and registration computer systems desirable

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood's service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 4 bed ICU, 3 bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 10 patients per day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.
