This opportunity is for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a K-12 school setting in Gary, IN, for the full 2024-2025 semester on a contract basis. This role focuses on supporting students with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing challenges to improve their communication abilities and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions targeting communication and swallowing.
- Monitor student progress, modify treatments as needed, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Educate students, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies.
- Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Active or pending state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience in pediatric settings preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and team members.
