Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Director of Speech-Language Pathology Clinics. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring high-quality clinical training for students, managing faculty and staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. This position will also play a key role in budgeting, policy development, and fostering relationships with external partners and the community.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program director to perform program assessment activities and accreditation documentation.
- Keep current with accreditation and licensure rules and share updates/ changes with program faculty and SLP undergraduate and graduate level students.
- Oversee management of scheduling, student clinical hours, and related KASA skills, using electronic system, (i.e. CALIPSO).
- Facilitate assignment of supervisors to clinicians and function as a liaison supervisor between the student and the on-campus Nevada State University Clinic, off-site RiteCare Clinic, and externship affiliations.
- Review and oversee clinical equipment needs for the on campus and Rite Care clinic and be involved in purchasing recommendations.
- Participate/Assist Facilitation of undergraduate and graduate student orientation trainings.
- Facilitate the training of SLP clinical supervisors
- Manage pertinent employee Workday tasks for full-time clinical supervisors and/or related student workers.
- Responsible for evaluating the performance of full and part-time clinical supervisors.
- Responsible for placing students into their externships.
- Responsible for initiation affiliations agreements and making sure all agreements are up to date.
- Responsible for completing site visits for all students enrolled in externships.
- Cultivate and enhance the quality of School of Education partnerships with community speech pathology services, including but not limited to CCSD K-12 schools, the RiteCare Clinic, and various medical facilities as needed.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the initiative of building out the speech language pathology pipeline within the Nevada community.
- Possibility of teaching undergraduate or graduate clinical course(s).
- Work collaboratively with the Program Director of Speech Language Pathology and faculty in the securing and supervision of placements for speech pathology externships.
- Maintain active contract paperwork with externship site locations and updating and maintaining of key field experience documents (e.g., affiliation agreements).
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence fromASHA.
- Eligible for a Nevada license to practice Speech Language Pathology.
- A minimum of three (3) years of SLP practice.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for student success and team building.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Salary & Benefits
Budgeted salary for this position is $86,445. Nevada State University offers excellent benefits, including 19.25% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 12 paid holidays, educational benefits, and three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
