American Traveler is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist with at least 1 year of acute care experience, IN state SLP license, and ASHA certification for an adult and pediatric rehabilitation assignment.

Responsibilities

Work in a short-term acute care hospital setting
Serve adult and geriatric populations in acute care, outpatient, and skilled nursing facility settings, as well as outpatient pediatrics
Common cases include dysphagia, dysarthria, confusion, voice deficits, and developmental communication deficits
Shifts are two 8-hour day shifts per week, 08:00 to 16:30
Charting is completed using Cerner
Floating to other units or affiliate hospitals is required
Scrub color is royal blue
Free parking available
Provide assessment and treatment for adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients with communication and swallowing disorders
Must be able to treat both acute and outpatient cases, including pediatric patients with developmental issues
Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment
First-time travelers are not accepted
RTO of up to 5 days non-holiday is automatically approved; additional requests require facility approval
Perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before applying as a traveler
Local candidates are accepted for this allied travel position
Royal blue scrubs are required as dress code

Requirements

Current IN state Speech Language Pathologist license required, or compact SLP license if applicable
Current ASHA certification required
At least 1 year of experience as a SLP in acute care, adult outpatient, or adult rehab/skilled nursing settings
Current BLS certification required
Degree from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation
Experience with Cerner EMR required
Must be able to float within the hospital and to affiliate locations
Two supervisor references required
License required if applicable
